Presidential Election: Obi floors Tinubu, Atiku, in Imo
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the Labour Party Presidential candidate, Peter Obi, the winner of the presidential election held in Imo State on Saturday.
The returning officer for the state, Charles Esimone, who announced the results stressed that Obi got 352,904 votes and Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) followed up with 66, 171 votes while Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) got 30,044 and Rabiu Kwankwaso of New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) got 1,536 votes.

According to him, results were collated in 26 out of the 27 Local Government Areas of the state.
The returning officer highlighted that the result of the Njaba LGA was not collated because of violence within the vicinity.
