EPL: Wolves trash Liverpool 3-0 as Everton bag three points from Arsenal

Liverpool Football Club continue to lose points after they were trashed 3-0 by Wolverhampton Wanderers in one of the English Premier League (EPL) fixtures on Saturday.

The goals started coming in early in the first five minutes of the game when Liverpool defender, Joel Matip caused an own goal to give Wolves the lead.

The lead was doubled courtesy Craig Dawson who fired in a rebound after Kilman’s shot was blocked.

Liverpool tried to reduce the tally on two occasions where Mohammed Salah’s curling effort was palmed away by the goalkeeper with the effort heading towards the top corner in the 14th minute.

Also, the Reds continued to find a goal but it was denied after Trent Alexander-Arnold who had a one-on-one opportunity but his strike was denied by Wolves goalkeeper, Sa.

Wolves third goal was a build up from their defence worked by Moutinho after winning the ball in the midfield and launched it down the middle of the pitch for Traoré to run onto. Getting there before Robertson, he cuts it back to Ruben Neves who made a late run seeing nobody tracking him until he got to 18 yard slotted ball which past goalkeeper, Alisson to make it 3-0.

Elsewhere, league leaders, Arsenal were denied victory at Goodison Park.

The Gunners excellent display on the pitch couldn’t fetch them a goal despite 71% possession of the ball.

The deadlock was broken in the 60th minute courtesy, James Tarkowski.

Arsenal, despite Saturday’s defeat are still topping the log with 50 points.

Manchester United were revived after Sunday’s 3-2 defeat by Arsenal.

The Red Devils secured the needed three points after beating Crystal Palace 2-1 with the two goals from Bruno Fernandes via a penalty five minutes into the game and Marcus Rashford scoring his 10th goal this season.
