Media credentials applications now open for Basketball Africa League’s Sahara Conference

Applications are now open for working media credentials for the Basketball Africa League’s (BAL’s) Sahara Conference, which will be held from the 11th to 21st of March, 2023, at Dakar Arena in Dakar, Senegal.

To request credentials, all the steps set forth in this application must be completed. Incomplete applications will not be considered. All credential application forms must be completed by Friday, February 24, 2023.

Applying Journalists: The Media Credential Application that follows this advisory must be completed by each journalist intending to cover the BAL’s Sahara Conference in Dakar. All the applying journalists must click HERE (https://apo-opa.info/3xDRRaF) and provide the requested information to register their application.

Approval Process: The application process will have three stages:

  • Stage 1: Media apply for the BAL’s Sahara Conference credentials HERE (https://apo-opa.info/3xDRRaF).
  • Stage 2: Media receive written notice of whether their credential request has been approved. The approved journalists will receive a health check link where they will be required to fill out a health check questionnaire and upload their vaccination certificates.
  • Stage 3: The approved and fully vaccinated media will receive the final credential link where they will be requested to upload their individual digital headshots.

Media without proof of vaccination will NOT be able to attend in-person media availability.

Distribution Process: All Basketball Africa League media credentials will be issued by the BAL in Dakar, Senegal beginning Monday, March 6. Specific credential distribution information will be included in approval letters. Each individual applicant approved for a credential for BAL will be asked to present government-issued photo identification to verify his/her identity and sign for the credential when picking it up on-site.

All credential applications must be submitted no later than Friday, February 24, 2023.
