Osimhen who’s currently the highest goal scorer stopped Cristiano Ronaldo from making the incredible leap against Sampdoria two seasons ago.
From a standing position, Osimhen leaped 2.58 meters, which is 0.02 meters farther than the Portuguese superstar, who leaped 2.56 meters to score against the Blucerchiati.
According to Corriere dello Sport (via TuttoNapoli), the Nigerian international has five headed goals, which is two fewer than Harry Kane of Tottenham Hotspur, who has seven, in Europe’s top five divisions.
The 24-year-old broke Ronaldo’s Serie A record with his most recent header against the Aquilotti after scoring against Torino at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona last year while standing 2.52 meters off the ground.
Fikayo Tomori, who defied gravity by leaping to a menacing 2.61 meters in height to tower over a helpless Giorgio Chiellini in Milan’s 3-0 victory over Juventus, still holds the record for the highest Serie A header.
Sunday’s victory for Napoli put the club on a 13-point lead ahead Inter Milan who are second with 43 points.
