Abducted INEC officials regain freedom in Zamfara
Bashir Shagari, the kidnapped Zamfara State electoral officer in charge of Maradun Local Government Area (LGA) has been released.
Neptune Prime gathered that Shagari and other INEC staff were abducted in the hometown of Governor Bello Matawalle while on their way to the state collation centre in Gusau to submit election results.

A few hours after they were abducted to an undisclosed location, Zamfara State INEC public relations officer confirmed their release and said the officials have resumed their journey to Gusau to deliver the results.
