Simon’s goal came on a platter via a penalty kick and the skillful number 15 player wasted no time to send the hosts goalkeeper, Jonas Mendes to the wrong way giving the Eagles the lead in the 30th minute.
Monday’s victory for the Eagle see them topping Group A with nine points and Guinea-Bissau trailed by seven points.
It was an audacious approach for the Nigerian side after suffering a shock defeat last Friday at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja.
There was less fireworks from the Nigerian front man, Victor Osimhen.
Statistics show that the Eagles despite playing away had more dominance on the game than the hosts. The Eagles had more shots during the game with six on target as against two for the hosts.
