Akere Spare Parts Market Fire: Sanwo-Olu provides N100m relief fund, kicks off renovation process
The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has donated the sum of N100 million to victims of Akere Spare Parts Market, in the Apapa area of the state which was razed by fire in the early hours of Wednesday, March 8, 2023.

This is the governor’s second visit in a week since the fire incident where goods worth millions of naira were destroyed.
The governor also kicked off the foundation for the renovation of the market.
The governor ahead of Saturday March 18, 2023 urged voters to shun ethnic bigotry and work together for the progress of the state.
Prior to the governor’s visit, the Labour Party (LP) governorship candidate, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour (GRV) who was the first governorship candidate to visit the area promised the sum of N15 million to the victims.
