Erling Haaland breaks Messi, Mbappé’s Champions League record
The UEFA Champions League (UCL) record set by Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappé as being the youngest players at the age of 22 in history to score 30 goals in the competition was on Tuesday night broken by Manchester City striker, Erling Haaland.

Haaland became the youngest player to score 30 goals in the Champions League after finding the back of the net five times following their 7-0 victory over RB Leipzig at the Etihad Stadium.
His hat-trick was his 30th in the competition, a tally he reached in just 25 matches and at 22 years and 236 days.
Kylian Mbappe previously held that record at 22 years and 352 days.
This places the pair way ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, who got his 30th goal in 48 games.
The Norwegian has also become just the third player to score five goals in a single Champions League game, and broke City’s record for the most goals scored in a single season.
