Yobe gov’t harps on quality as 2,200 civil servants write promotion exams

Over 2,200 civil servants in Yobe State are currently writing the 2023 civil service promotion examination to ensure better productivity and efficiency in the state service.

The Yobe State Head of Service, Garba Bilal, said the state service would keep the government workers abreast with modern innovation in the civil service.

Garba Bilal explained this on Saturday when he supervised one of the examination centre at Government Girls Collage Damaturu.

He noted that the examination is currently holding in 3 centres across the 3 senatorial zones of the state.

He stated that Government Girls College Damaturu has a total of 1300, Collage of Administration, Management and Technology Potiskum has a total of 515, and Umar Sulaiman Collage of Education Gashua, has 385 civil servants writing the examination respectively.

Bilal expressed satisfaction with the process the 2023 civil service examination is being conducted in the state.

“Governor Mai Mala Buni has taking into consideration all the needs of the civil servants in the state and is taking care of their welfare.

“A lot of welfare packages have been in the pipe line and a lots have been implemented.

“Governor Buni has created an enabling environment to ensure that civil servants in the state put in their best,” said Bilal.
