Yobe MACBAN, students’ association endorse Gov. Buni for second term

The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association (MACBAN) in Bade Local government Area and some key officers of the Association in Yobe North Senatorial District alongside National Union of Yobe State Students (NUYOSS) in conjunction with the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Yobe State Council, have jointly endorsed Governor Mai Mala Buni for a second term of office.

The Bade MACBAN chairman of Bade local government area, Alhaji Idriss Musa, pronounced the endorsement after he decamped from PDP into the ruling party APC.

Similarly, Auwal Gambo Salisu, National President of NUYOSS, who led other executive Council members of the association endorsed the candidature of Governor Buni in Damaturu.

Salisu said the union endorsed the governor for a second term because of his administration’s commitment to education and student welfare.

The union commended the Buni administration for fast-tracking the recovery of education in the state after the protracted Boko Haram insurgency and for payment of scholarships to students both within and outside the country.

“His Excellency Hon. Mai Mala Buni has been paying the domestic scholarship in addition to the award of foreign scholarship to Yobe State students.

“It is also on record that he has constructed mega and model primary schools, modern libraries, and hostels as well as provision of free basic education to thousands of students both within and outside the country.

“In view of the foregoing, the National Union of the Yobe State Students NUYOSS), National Headquarters in collaboration with the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) joint campus council Yobe State, after wide consultation with stakeholders and the students union leaders hereby endorses Governor Mai Mala Buni and other APC candidates in the forthcoming governorship and state house of assembly elections” he said

He assured that the students would reciprocate the good gesture by turning out massively to re-elect Governor Buni for a second term of office. The union leaders presented Governor Buni with an endorsement letter to reassure him of their decision.

In attendance was the Executive Secretary Yobe State Scholarship board, Dr Abubakar Kagu.

Members of Miyetti Allah who decamped to join APC are Alhaji Ajiya, Bade MACBAN Vice Chairman, Alh Maigari, Secretary, Miyetti Allah Karasuwa Local Government and other key officers of the Association from other Local Government Areas of Yobe North Senatorial District.

The leader of the decampees, Alhaji Idriss Musa said, they all agree to join APC because they admired Buni’s excellent performances in the development of the state and bettering the lives of its people.

He revealed that they also admired the good leadership of the state party chairman, Alhaji Mohammed Gadaka, who respects all members of the party in the state regardless of their tribe, religion or where they come from.

Mohammed Gadaka who received the decampees expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah who gave them the wisdom and foresight to see the reason to join APC and contribute their quota towards re-electing Mai Mala Buni for the second term to continue with his good work of developing the state.
