Russian teen arrested for allegedly arranging contract killing of mother

A 14-year-old schoolgirl has been arrested in Russia on suspicion of ordering the contract killing of her single mother, an estate agent named Anastasia Milosskaya, aged 38.

The girl was arrested along with a 15-year-old boy who had been living in the family’s flat. According to reports, the mother had ordered him to leave due to concerns about his influence on her daughter.

Two days after the murder, the mother’s body was discovered in a garbage skip in Balashikha, near Moscow. She had been beaten and strangled to death.

Investigators believe that the girl and the boy conspired to pay two other teenagers 350,000 roubles (£3,650) to carry out the murder. All of the suspects are between the ages of 14 and 17, and are either accused of murder or conspiracy to commit murder.

The girl and the boy are alleged to have allowed the killers into the flat, and were present when the attack took place. The killers then left the body in the flat, where the daughter and the boy were living.

Two days later, they returned and carried the body away on a makeshift stretcher, before dumping it in a nearby skip. However, the body was discovered by a janitor the next morning.

According to the Investigative Committee, the girl and her male friend had planned to use her mother’s savings of over £30,000 to support themselves after her death.

An eyewitness described seeing the victim’s swollen and red face, indicating that she had been beaten and strangled.

A friend of the 14-year-old girl claimed that she had expressed hatred for her mother on numerous occasions, despite her mother’s love for her.

The girl’s grandmother suggested that the boy from the family’s flat had exerted a negative influence on her granddaughter.

While the suspects could face up to ten years in a youth correctional colony, they have been remanded in a young people’s detention facility for one month pending further investigations.
