The Gunners took control of the game after eight minute of kick off seeing their striker, Gabriel Martinelli’s right footed shot from the centre of the box which sent the ball to the bottom left corner to make it 1-0.

Arsenal came into the game to pull up surprises at Anfield and they delivered another goal courtesy, Gabriel Jesus who found himself in the middle to receive Martinelli’s cross and the Brazilian headed the ball to bottom-right corner into the net to make it 2-0.

Despite being down by two goals, Liverpool continued with the push for a goal before half-time and it was Mohammed Salah who took advantage of Henderson’s side footed ball and smashed into Arsenal goal to make it 2-1 in the 42nd minute.

Both teams returned from the break and Liverpool had a golden opportunity for a leveler after they were awarded with a penalty but that was not case as Salah wasted the chance.

Players were substituted from both teams with 30 minutes to go and it was Liverpool that got it right after Roberto Firmino came in for Fabinho as the Brazilian who was rightly positioned in the 18 yard headed Alexander-Arnold’s superb delivery and the diving Ramsdale could not prevent it flying into the net to make it 2-2.

Both teams shared a point each after 96 minutes of action.

Arsenal are still leading with 73 points and six ahead of Manchester City while Liverpool are currently eighth with 44 points.
