Former Anambra governor Mbadinuju dies at 78
Chinwoke Mbadinuju, a former governor of Anambra State, is dead.
His death was announced by his first son, Chetachi Mbadinuju.

The late politician died at the of age of 78 after a brief illness in the National Hospital, Abuja, Nigeria’s capital on Tuesday.
“With heavy hearts but utmost gratitude to God for a life well spent, we announce the passing of our father, grandfather, uncle, friend and associate, Dr. Chinwoke Mbadinuju, a former governor of Anambra State and elder statesman,” he said.
However, he noted that his father died “peacefully” adding, “At this trying time, we pray for God’s grace and mercy upon him and those left behind.”
His funeral arrangements would be announced in due course, said Chetachi.
Mbadinuju was governor of Anambra State between 29 May 1999 and 29 May 2003, under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
