Buhari, Obasanjo, Gowon, Tinubu, others set to attend launch of book in honour of Osinbajo

President Muhammadu Buhari, former President Olusegun Obasanjo, President-Elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senate President Ahmad Lawan, Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila, Vice President-Elect Kashim Shettima, and other dignitaries are expected to attend the launch of “Osinbajo Strides,” a book honouring Vice President Prof. Yemi Osinbajo.

The book’s foreword, titled “Defining Moments of an Innovative Leader,” was written by former Head of State Gen. Abudulsalami Abubakar, and the launch will be chaired by Yakubu Gowon.

Other notable attendees will include APC National Chairman Abdullahi Adamu and Chief Emeka Anyaoku.

The book, which is a collection of articles written by 25 writers, will be publicly presented on May 1.

President Buhari will be the father of the day, and all state governors, senators, and representatives are expected to attend.

The book launch is being organized by the PYO Collective, a nonpartisan and multicultural group of Nigerians interested in good governance and economic development, whose core values include ethics, professionalism, honesty, accountability, and good governance.

The book’s theme, “Inspiring A New Nigeria,” will be addressed by acclaimed author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie.

The writers who contributed to the book are Richard Akinnola, Azu Ishiekwene, Garba Mohammed, Etim Etim, Donu Kogbara, Sadiq Abdullateef, Fatima Mamman-Daura, James Akpandem, Mustapha Ogunsakin, Dayo Akintobi, Dr. Wale Adeduro, Columba Ogah, Haruna Abdullahi, Temilade Okesanjo, Arukaino Umukoro, Olaolu Beckley, Jude Zoho, Vitalis Obidiaghaa, Seun Bisuga, Seyi Gesinde, Faith Dafe-Joseph, Muritala Ayinla, Abimbola Olaniyan, and Ibrahim Bature. The book’s editorial consultant is Jahman Anikulapo.

The book covers Vice President Osinbajo’s public service since he was appointed Special Adviser to the Attorney-General of the Federation in 1988. Proceeds from the book’s sales will go to charity organizations.

A blurb about the book will be made available ahead of the public presentation.

PYO Collective aims to promote unity and prosperity in Nigeria, drawing its membership from across the country, including the writers who contributed to the book.
