Dogo Gidi releases four abducted FGC Yauri students after collecting ransom

Kidnap kingpin, Dogo Gidi, has released 4 out of 11 remaining students of Federal Government College (FGC) Birnin Yauri, Kebbi state, after collecting 80 million Naira from the parents. The four girls are Bilha Musa, Faiza Ahmed, Rahma Abdullahi and Hafsa Murtala.

A source close to the parent of one of the released abductees revealed that “The bandit asked for 100 million Naira to release the remaining 11 girls, the parents sold their houses, farms and every thing and even collect contributions from well meaning Nigerians, where they realised 80 million naira but after taking the 80 million, the bandit released 4 out of the 11 girls saying the remaining will remain behind until they bring the balance of 20 million Naira.”

Recall that Neptune Prime reported that 30 students and a teacher of Federal Government College, Birnin Yauri, Kebbi State, have been released after six months in captivity, the state government has confirmed.

The bandits had attacked the school on Thursday, 17 June, 2021, abducting over 100 students and eight teachers from the College.
