EFCC arrests six suspected internet fraudsters in Abuja
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has announced the arrest of six suspected internet fraudsters in Abuja.
According to EFCC spokesperson Wilson Uwujaren, the suspects were apprehended in an early morning sting operation on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at Jahi and Dawaki axes of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The arrests were based on credible intelligence regarding the suspects’ alleged criminal activities.
The six suspects are Emmanuel Ndubuisi, Solomon Tochukwu, Okotie Kingsley, Benedict Akor, Samuel Anosike, and Samson Iffy.
Items recovered from the suspects include one Mercedes Benz car, two Lexus RX350s, a Toyota Camry, laptops, mobile phones, an international passport, and an expensive wristwatch.
The EFCC has stated that the suspects will be charged to court as soon as the investigation is concluded.
