Former Minister of Labour dies in Kano

Alhaji Musa Gwadabe, a former Minister of Labour and Productivity and a pioneer member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), has passed away.

He died on Tuesday night in Kano at the age of 86, following a protracted illness, according to family sources.

Nasiru Gwadabe, a relative of the late elder statesman, told the press that the funeral prayer for the former minister would be held at 2.00 pm on Wednesday, today, at his residence off Maiduguri road in Kano.

Alhaji Musa Gwadabe served as a minister during Olusegun Obasanjo’s first tenure from 1999 to 2003.

He was also the Secretary to the Kano State Government during the tenure of Late Sabo Bakin Zuwo and a member of several boards. Until his death, he was a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Board Chairman of the Industrial Training Fund (ITF).

He is survived by 12 children, great-grandchildren, and other relatives.
