Man City trash Liverpool 4-1 despite Haaland’s absence 

Manchester City continues to rain in goals following their 4-1 trashing over Liverpool despite the absence their talisman, Erling Haaland in Saturday’s fixture of the English Premier League.

Although, Liverpool opened the score line in the 17th minute courtesy Egypt international, Mohammed Salah to give his team the lead.

City responded ten minutes later after Julián Álvarez tapping of the ball which went over Allison into the back of the net to make it 1-1.

The Pep Guardiola’s boys got control of the game after the first half break and Kevin De Bruyne’s response in the 46th minute and Iker Gundogan’s strike made it 3-1 for City.

Jurgen Klopp’s double substitution twice bringing in Tsimikas to inject some strength into the defence as well as taking out Diogo Jota for Roberto Firmino, Salah was equally replaced with Darwin to add flair some pace up front were futile as City added the fourth goal which was delivered by Jack Grealish in partnership with De Bruyne to make it 4-1.

City have moved closer with five points behind Arsenal who are currently on 69 points.

Liverpool are still sixth with 42 points, seven points from fourth placed Tottenham.
