Isreal Adesanya reclaims UFC title from rival, Alex Pereira
Nigerian-born New Zealand professional mixed martial artist and kickboxer, Israel Mobolaji Odunayo Adesanya, on Sunday reclaimed his UFC middleweight belt title in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) 287 after defeating Brazilian, Alex Pereira, at the FTX Arena, Miami, Florida in the United States.

The defining moment for Adesanya was in the fourth minute of the second round of the bout after releasing two crushing right hands on Pereira to send the Brazilian to the ground.
Sunday’s victory for Adesanya was his first after three fights with Pereira where he lost.
The 33-year-old lost twice in kickboxing in 2016 and 2017, and at UFC 281 in November to the 35-year-old Brazilian.
“I hope every one of you can feel this level of happiness for one time in your life,” said Nigeria-born New Zealander Adesanya.
“But guess what – you’ll never feel this level of happiness if you don’t go for something in your life. When they knock you down, if you stay down you will never get that resolve.
“Fortify your mind and feel this level of happiness. I’m blessed to feel this again and again and again.”
