NGF to hold valedictory meeting for govs Wike, Ganduje, 15 others on Wednesday
Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, his counterpart, Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State including 15 other governors will be bided farewell by the Nigerian Governors’ Forum (NGF) on Wednesday, April 26 as they wrap up their tenure in office.
In a statement issued by Director, Media and Public Affairs Nigeria, NGF, Abdulrazaque Barkindo on Monday, the floor would be open for the valedictory from members after the Chairman’s brief and few parting remarks.

The statement reads in part, “17 Governors are leaving the Forum, having completed their terms of office, while plans have reached an advanced stage for the on boarding of the new Governors at the upcoming NGF induction for new and returning Governors, which comes up between 14 and 17 May 2023.
“This meeting also effectively ends the Governors’ Fayemi/Tambuwal leadership of the Forum.
“Another Chairman will, in due course, emerge from among Governors of the majority party. First termers are ineligible to vie for the Chairmanship of the Forum.”
Wednesday’s meeting will be the first physical meeting of the year. The forum have had four virtual meetings during the year.

7. Governor Simon Lalong; Plateau State
8. Governor Ifeanyi Okowa; Delta State
9. Governor David Umahi; Ebonyi State
10. Governor Darius Ishaku; Taraba State
11. Governor Aminu Tambuwal; Sokoto State
12. Governor Bello Matawalle; Zamfara State
13. Governor Mohammed Badaru Abubakar; Jigawa State
14. Governor Okezie Ikpeazu; Abia State
15. Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi; Enugu State
