Gov. Buni launches 2 technology books produced by YITDA

Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State on Monday launched two books on the impact of technology on education and effective data management in the 21st century produced by Yobe State Information Technology Development Agency (YITDA).

The first book titled, “Effective Data Management in the 21st Century,” is a comprehensive guide aimed at equipping data processing officers in Yobe State with the necessary skills and knowledge to manage data effectively in the digital age.

The book which covered various topics such as data processing, analysis, visualisation, and security, among others, is designed to help officers manage data effectively and improve decision-making processes in the state.

While the second book, “The Impact of ICT on Education in Rebranding Yobe Youths,” explores the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in improving the quality of education in Yobe State.

The two books highlight the importance of integrating technology into the educational system to enhance learning outcomes and prepare the youth for future work.

Governor Buni represented by the State Head of Civil Service, Alhaji Garba Bilal, purchased 10 copies of each of the books at ₦ 50,000, amounting to #1,000, 000 which will be distributed among data processing officers across the state.

The gesture was commended as it demonstrates the governor’s commitment to the development of the state and the improvement of data management practices.

Earlier speaking, the Director General Yobe State Information Technology Development Agency (YITDA), Dr Adam K Mohammed, emphasised the importance of technology in driving economic growth and development in Yobe State.

He stated that the books were part of the agency’s efforts to promote the use of technology in various sectors of the economy, including education, healthcare, and agriculture.

“The books will serve as valuable resources for individuals and organisations seeking to leverage technology to improve their operations and services,” said Dr Adam.
