Gov. Ganduje’s daughter files fresh lawsuit against ex-husband in Kano court
Asiya Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the daughter of Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has recently filed a new lawsuit against her ex-husband, Inuwa Bala, at a Kano magistrates’ court.
Bala was presented before the presiding magistrate of Court 69, Ishaq Abdu Aboki, who sits at Muhammad Abubakar Rimi Market, facing six charges outlined in a First Information Report (FIR).
The FIR includes accusations of criminal force, assault, criminal trespass, causing harm, mischief, and inciting disturbance, all of which are in violation of the Administration of the Criminal Justice Law of Kano State.

When the court registrar, Nura Ahmad Yakasai, read out the charges in the absence of the prosecution counsel, the defendant pleaded not guilty to all counts.
Led by Hashim Mai Ulu, the defence counsel submitted a bail application on behalf of the defendant, citing Section 3C of the 1999 constitution as amended and sections 168, 172, and 175 of the ACJL.
Considering the application, the magistrate granted bail to the defendant in the amount of N50,000, with two sureties who must provide their passport photographs and means of identification.
The magistrate adjourned the case until May 25 for the continuation of the hearing.
