KACRAN congratulates Gov. Buni ahead of May 29th inauguration

The Kulen Allah Cattle Rearers Association of Nigeria (KACRAN) has congratulated the Executive Governor of Yobe State Mai Mala Buni for securing a second term in office and wished him a successful swearing-in ceremony on 29th May 2023.

KACRAN congratulated the governor in a statement signed by its president Hon. Khalid Muh’d Bello and made available to Neptune Prime.

The statement read, “KACRAN joins many people of Yobe State who are well prepared and eagerly waiting for 29th May 2023 to warmly celebrate and rejoice with the Executive Governor of Yobe State Hon Mai Mala Buni CON, (Chiroman Gujba), on his swearing-in for the second term as the democratically elected Governor of the state and counting the numerous dividend of democracy they enjoined during the time under reference, that is from (29th May 2019 to date).

“KACRAN as a progressive partner of Yobe State decided to call this press conference to brief the public about the benefits our members in Yobe State and Nigerian pastoralists who on a yearly basis move in their hundreds and thousands to enjoy the livestock development projects successfully executed by the good administration of Governor Buni.

“We have been enjoying the gesture and magnanimity of His Excellency, Hon. Mai Mala Buni in the livestock sector among other sectors that always receive the government’s full attention and high consideration together with the federal government to bring in more livestock development projects in the state.

“Some of these developmental projects are currently ongoing at Jakusko Nasari grazing Reserves. More so, out of the Governor’s kindness and compassion, he earmarked billions of Naira in this year’s budget to execute a livestock development project in Gadana Grazing Reserve in Fika Local Government.

“Similarly, Gumsa in Geidam Local Government is on the queue among the state grazing reserve that is expected to be developed during his second tenure in office In sha Allah.

“Likewise, our able Governor, who always respects and relates nicely with all people in the state and other parts of Nigeria regardless of their status, tribe, religion and political inclination included pastoralists and farmers associations such as Kulen Allah, AFAN and others in the membership of various committees formed to critically supervise and advise government for the successful implementation of various policies and programmes that involved the agricultural sector.

“Through the successful coordination of the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Baba Mala Wali, who organised powerful security meetings in the state comprising top government functionaries, high ranking security officers, Local Government DPMs, traditional rulers and pastoralists associations to discuss sensitive security issues and enhance lasting peace in the state.

“These efforts have made Nigerian pastoralists view Yobe State as a safe haven they can come and freely operate their livestock business and go back to their states without embracement.

“Distinguished members of the press, I know it will highly impress you to know that Hon. Mai Mala Buni made great history in Nigeria by becoming the first Governor in the country to appoint those living in the bushes or remote areas as Special Assistants (SA) which is the first of its kind in the state, probably in the entire country.

“We passionately appeal to federal and other state governments as a matter of justice, equity and fairness to emulate him by doing the same so that pastoralists in the country will be carried along which will make them positively contribute toward the development of their fatherland.

“The action will also bring more peace, understanding oneness and development to the country. Once again, we appreciate the Executive Secretary of SEMA, Dr Mohammed Goje, and his well-experienced staff for successfully organising the distribution of palliative at Yobe Line, Damaturu and animal feed distribution at the IBB Secretariat to the state pastoralists at last year’s draught period. The move helped in preventing several livestock from being devastated by hunger called (Shedu) in Fulfulde Language.

“Finally, while we are appreciating and commending Governor Buni, members of the State Executive Council who worked closely during the said fruitful years, we want to assure him of Kulen Allah’s total support and commitment to enable him to achieve his people’s oriented policies of developing our beloved state,” the president said.
