Anti-Party Activities: APC expels another senator in Gombe

Story from Najibullahi ADAMU, Gombe

A few weeks after they expelled the former governor of Gombe State and senator representing Gombe Central, Danjuma Goje, the leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bambam ward of Balanga local government area of the state have expelled the serving senator of Gombe South Bulus Amos over allegations of indulging in anti-party activities during the last 2023 elections.

Recall that the senator was recently placed on suspension by the party after a probe committee found him wanting and is now expelled by the ward executives of the party.

Neptune Prime reports that Amos is also expelled over the same allegations as a member of the Federal House of Representatives representing Yamaltu/Deba local government Honourable Yunusa Abubakar.

Addressing journalists, the APC chairman of the Bambam ward, Muhammad Kaka, said the expulsion became necessary following the failure of the senator to defend himself against the several allegations levelled against him.

He claimed that instead of the senator defending himself, he rather resorted to issuing threats to the party executives at the ward.

“We held elections in our ward during the just concluded general elections and we have Senator Amos from our ward who didn’t come out to partake in our political activities.

“Instead, the senator went around with his supporters telling them not to vote for the APC and in his polling unit and the surrounding polling units APC didn’t win any of those units because of his anti-party activities.

“This really disturbed the executives at the ward and we sat down to examine this and decided to summon him to defend himself and explain why he did what he did.

“Although Amos appeared before the committee but could not justify his actions and we gave him another chance but he failed to return”. He alleged.

However, the senator through his spokesperson Felix Manasseh had since denied involving in anti-APC acts.

He stated that he was a member of the APC campaign council and had delivered his Balanga local government to the party in the governorship and state assembly elections where the APC won the elections.
