FGN sacks FAAN MD, top officials in aviation sector
The Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) has sacked the Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Capt Rabiu Yadudu, along with five other top officials in the aviation sector.
This shake-up comes just a few days before the inauguration of President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
According to an industry source who spoke with The Will, Yadudu has been relieved of his duties, and Kabiru Yusuf Mohammed has been appointed as the new Managing Director.
“From the look of things, the Federal Government has removed MD FAAN and Directors and has brought in Kabiru Yusuf Mohammed as MD,” the source revealed.
Yadudu, a former Director of Airport Operations at FAAN, succeeded Engr. Saleh Dunouma, who was also removed in 2019.
Meanwhile, Mr. Mohammed is expected to assume his new role next week.
