Gov. Buni swears in LG caretaker chairmen, calls for effective service delivery

Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni on Tuesday sworn in 17 local governments’ caretaker management committees and charged tthem on effective service delivery.
The swearing in took place at the banquet hall of the Government House Damaturu.
Governor Buni adviced the caretaker chairmen to strictly adhere to the principles of due process and procedures in executing their duties to obtain the best result.
He noted that the commencement of their second term of office defined the new beginning for more dedication and commitment to service delivery to justify the ppeople’s confidence and trust in them.
According to him, government should monitor their kind interest, their performances in their respective LG Councils.
Buni also noted that they should be diligent, transparent, judicious, and prudent in the management of scares resources for optimum benefit to improve the lives of the people at the grassroots level.
He re-assured the caretaker chairmen of government’s preparedness to partner with the local government council for programmes and projects that have positive bearing in the lives of the people.
The swon-in local government caretaker committee chairmen were; Alhaji Ibrahim Babagana, Bade, Lawan Bukar, Bursari, Bukar Adamu, Damaturu, Hajiya Halima Kyari joda, Fika, Baba Goni Mustapha, Fune, Musa Mohammed, Geidam,Dala Mala, Gujba,Dayyabu Ilu, Gulani, Umar Abba, Jakusko, and Khalid Abba Umaru, Karasuwa Local Government.
Others are; Bukar A Bukar, Machina, Alhaji Salisu Yerima, Nangere, Alhaji Modu Kachalla, Nguru, Salisu Muktari, Potiskum, Mohammed Lamido Musa, Tarmuwa, Zannah Zakariya kalgi, Yunusari, and Alhaji Waziri Ibrahim, Yusufari Local government are respectively
Speaking further, Governor Buni said, “State government would not tolerate abuse of office, disloyalty by any public officer”.
