Niger State Gov. implements ban on market sales along Suleja-Madalla Road

Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has taken a decisive step in fulfilling his campaign promises by announcing a ban on the sale of goods along the Suleja-Madalla road.

In line with this directive, anyone found engaging in such activities will be apprehended and prosecuted for violating the law.

Governor Bago firmly emphasized that the Suleja-Madalla road can no longer serve as a trading post or market centre for anyone. Additionally, vehicles parked along this route will be impounded as a deterrent to offenders.

Addressing the people in the area, Governor Bago issued this instruction as his second executive order since taking office.

He emphasized that the primary objective is to maintain smooth traffic flow along the Suleja-Abuja highway, where the Madalla market is currently located.

To address this issue, the Governor revealed plans to relocate the market to a nearby area. He stressed that traders and hawkers should not put their lives and the lives of others at risk along the busy Abuja-Kaduna highway.
