The construction of the Nigerian Oil and Gas Park Scheme (NOGaPS) at Emeyal 1 Community in Bayelsa State is progressing steadily, with a targeted completion timeline set for the fourth quarter of 2023.

Engr. Kelly Oduade, the Chief Engineer of the consulting firm overseeing the project, announced that the 24-hectare complex is on track for delivery.

While the Odukpani facility in Cross River State has already been completed, Engr. Oduade revealed that significant progress has been made at the Emeyal 1 site, with most key facilities already in place and others scheduled for completion by year-end.

Engr. Oduade highlighted some of the essential features of the extensive industrial hub, including uninterrupted 24/7 power supply, an asphalt-paved internal road network, a water treatment plant, an effluent water treatment plant, an administrative building block, a mini-park estate comprising three blocks of flats, a capacity building (training center) block, a drainage system, a security gatehouse, a hostel block, and a fire station, among other facilities.

Ginah O. Ginah, the General Manager of Corporate Communications at the NCDMB and the media tour guide for the for the Guild of Corporate Online Publishers (GOCOP), affirmed the consultant’s presentation.

He emphasized that besides the listed infrastructures within the park, provisions and land spaces are available for prospective investors to develop customized facilities that will enhance their operations at the park.

These opportunities encompass options such as filling stations, manufacturing shop floors/warehouses, oil and gas processing facilities, and various other configurations, with plots of different sizes allocated based on investor demand.

The NOGaPS Emeyal 1 scheme is located along the Otuoke-Emeyal 1 Road in Ogbia, Bayelsa State. It benefits from convenient access routes via Imiringi, Opolo, and the recently dualized (SUKUK bond funded) Yenegwe-Kolo to Otuoke to Bayelsa Palm Road.
