President Tinubu holds bilateral talks with Chinese Special Envoy in Abuja

President Bola Tinubu is currently engaged in a bilateral meeting with the Special Envoy of Chinese President Xi Jinping and Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, Peng Qinghua.
This session took place merely 72 hours after the consuls of the United States of America, the United Kingdom, and Saudi Arabia pledged their support for the Tinubu administration.
Mr. Peng, who led the Chinese delegation to Tinubu’s inauguration ceremony, arrived at the Villa at around 3:30 pm and was promptly ushered into the President’s office.
The delegation included the Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria, Cui Jianchun, and his deputy.
Although the specific details of the bilateral meeting have not been made public, it is expected that the leaders will discuss key areas of partnership between Nigeria and the People’s Republic of China.
