Seun Kuti to remain in custody for 4 more days
The Yaba chief magistrate court in Lagos presided by Mrs Adeola Olatubosun has ordered the remand of the embattled Afrobeat singer, Seun Kuti, for four (4) more days.

Kuti’s remand was granted on Thursday following an application of extension moved by the prosecuting counsel.
Neptune Prime reports that the lead counsel, Mr Simon Lough (SAN), said the extension is to allow further investigation into the case.
Recall on Monday, May 15 Mr Kuti turned himself and was arraigned the next day to commence trail of his offence.
This newspaper reported over the weekend that Mr Kuti was caught on camera physically assaulting a police officer in uniform after the singer bashed the officer’s car on Saturday, May 13 on the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos.
Also, based on the investigation of the police, Kuti gave the driver the sum of N12,000 after he was trailed to his Ikeja residence.
To this, the singer is charged with assaulting a police officer.
The case will resume on Monday, May 22.
