Why Jose Mourinho is better than Pep Guardiola
Many football enthusiasts would consider Pep Guardiola of Manchester City the best football coach in the world because of his exploits in domestic league.
Recall on Wednesday, City were ousted UEFA Champions League (UCL) defending champions, Real Madrid from the competition to qualify for the final as they aim for their first trophy.

Also, Guardiola is aiming for two domestic trophies – English Premier League (EPL) title and the FA Cup.
Already, Guardiola has secured the 2022:23 EPL title after arsenal lost to Nottingham Forest thanks to Nigeria’s Taiwo Awoniyi’s 29th minute goal for his club, Forest on Saturday.
While, Guardiola had secured the EPL the Spanish is waiting for the two remaining silver wares to make it a treble to level with Sir Alex Ferguson.
Jose Mourinho on the other hand is yet to be surpassed by any European manager who utilises the talent of players given to him by the clubs he is coaching at that particular time.
Mourinho is the only manager to have won the Europa league with FC Porto and won the UCL with the same club the following year. An achievement today’s manager cannot boast of.
Mourinho came to England and within his first he helped Chelsea clinch their first EPL after 50 years.
The same with Inter Milan, they won the UCL after 45 years under Mourinho.
He was appointed by AS Roma in the Serie A, they clinched their first European title and they’ve qualified for the final of the competition.
The same exploits with Manchester United with the help of the Portuguese coach.
Mourinho has conquered Europe but for Guardiola his achievements are limited, restricted to the country league.
