Ousted CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele, arrested by DSS
The Department of State Services (DSS) has taken into custody the recently ousted Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele.
This action comes in the wake of Emefiele’s suspension on Friday by President Bola Tinubu.

In light of Emefiele’s removal, President Tinubu has appointed Mr. Folashodun Adebisi Shonubi as the acting Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria.
The decision to arrest Emefiele has raised questions and stirred speculation about the reasons behind his sudden removal from office.
The DSS has yet to release an official statement regarding the arrest.
