After N10 million ransom request, kidnapped Ondo cleric regains freedom

Alhaji Ibrahim Oyinlade, the Chief Imam of Uso Community in Owo Local Government Area, Ondo State, has regained his freedom from kidappers den.

His release comes a few hours after the kidnappers requested for N10 million ransom from his family.

However, it is uncertain if the family paid the ransom or the cleric regained freedom on his own.

The cleric was reportedly working on his farm when the hoodlums invaded the premises and took him away on Saturday.

“Though the abductors contacted the family in the morning today (Sunday) and demanded N10m, to God be the glory, he was set free this evening,” a source in the family said.

The family source did not state whether the ransom was paid before the cleric was released.
