General Wale Adeniyi becomes acting Comptroller General of Customs

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of DCG Adeniyi Bashir Adewale as the Acting Comptroller General of Nigeria Customs Service.
This was disclosed in a statement signed by the Director, Information for the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
Acting CG Wale Adeniyi rose through the ranks.He is very popular with the maritime media being a former National Public Relations Officer of the Service.
He was Controller, MMIA command, Ikeja, Lagos between 2019 and 2020 and was promoted to the rank of Assistant Comptroller General in charge of Customs Training School, Gwagwalada, FCT in 2020.
He was promoted Deputy Comptroller General early this year.
