2 Speakers emerge in Nasarawa State House of Assembly

Two Speakers have emerged in Nasarawa State House of Assembly.

They are the incumbent Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi and the contender Daniel Ogah Ogazi.

Ibrahim Balarabe has been Speaker for two consecutive terms and is seeking a third term on the position. While Ogazi is wanting to be Speaker for the first term.

Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi is representing Umaisha/Ugye in Toto Local Government State constituency in the House, while Ogazi is representing Kokona East of Kokona Local Government.

Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi was re-elected at the Hall of the State Ministry for Local Government, which was used as temporary Assembly before the permanent complex was built.

The Acting Clerk of the House, Ibrahim Musa administered the oath of office for Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi as the new Speaker.

While Ogazi was elected at the Chamber of the State House of Assembly.

Governor Abdullahi Sule had congratulated Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi for his victory when the newly re-elected Speaker paid a courtesy call on the Governor at Government House in Lafia.
