Portugal international, Cristiano Ronaldo on Tuesday became the first footballer in history to play 200 times for his country as recognised by the Guinness World Records.
Ronaldo reached the mark shortly before the Euro 2024 qualifiers against Iceland where he added the icing on the cake to score the only goal of the match.
The 38-year-old Al Nassr striker before Tuesday has other Guinness World Records in his decades on the pitch.

La Liga’s most successful penalty taker
According to Sports Brief, Ronaldo is the team’s designated penalty taker whenever he is on the field but he didn’t enjoy the privilege during his second spell at Old Trafford.
But during his nine-year reign at Real Madrid he was referred to as ‘Penaldo’ because of his ability from the spot where won trophies.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner with Los Blancos took an astounding 72 penalties in La Liga alone. He converted 61 of them, making him Spain’s most successful spot kick taker in history, per Dario AS.
Hugo Sanchez, another legendary Real Madrid player, comes in second place with 56 goals from penalty kicks.
Oldest player with hat-trick
Being the longest serving player for his country, Portugal, Ronaldo became the oldest player to score a hat-trick in a world cup group stage during the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
He scored three goals in a group stage match against Spain at the age of 33 to ensure his country drew the match 3-3.
With this hat-trick, which also included a free kick, the attacker seriously troubled the Spanish defence, proving he was still going strong. Along with Patrik Schick of the Czech Republic, the 38-year-old was also the top scorer at Euro 2020.

Another remarkable record by Ronaldo was scoring in 11 straight UEFA Champions League games.
Ronaldo accomplished this feat while playing for Real Madrid, arguably the best team in the world at the time.
