Confusion in sitting arrangement denies Saraki access to Eid praying ground
It has been learnt that the sitting arrangement of Ilorin Emirate Council’s title holders was suddenly altered in order to deny Saraki’s presence at the Ilorin Eid praying ground.
From time immemorial, Waziri N’geri of Ilorin Emirate has always been the first out of the ten honorary titles in the Ilorin Emirate next to the Emir of Ilorin.
However, the seat of Waziri of the Ilorin Emirate Council was allotted to Mutawali of Ilorin, the 10th and the lowest honourary title holder in the Ilorin Emirate just to deny Saraki’s presence in the Ilorin Eid praying ground.

Muhammed Soliu Onirankunmi on behalf of HRH Dr. Ibrahim Zulu-Gambari, Mai Martaba Seriki Musulumi of Ilorin, Council of Chiefs, and Council of ULAMAHU gave out instructions on what should be carried out.
“Please invite the Eid committee chairman immediately tonight along with his secretary, instruct them to carry out the following”
“The section to the left of the Emir should be strictly reserved for The Governor officials, judiciary, and legislative plus Top Govt officials.
“On the right side of the Emir can be reserved for traditional chiefs, title holders, and others.
He said the sitting arrangement should be the Mutawali first to the right of the Emir.
“Govt house protocol and Govt house security i.e CSO and DSS can be mandated to ensure/ enforce this.”
“Ilorin Emirate Council is hereby advised to be mindful of undignifying the highly respected Ilorin Emirate Council’s known and stipulated culture.”
