Female polytechnic student found dead with 2 eyes removed

Tragedy struck at Adesun Ogundoyin Polytechnic in Eruwa, Oyo State, as a female student of Mass Communication, simply identified as Desola, was discovered lifeless in her room without eyes. The shocking incident occurred on Friday, June 16, 2023.
Desola’s absence during an examination raised concerns among her friends and course mates who worried about her whereabouts. Some of her friends decided to check on her at her residence in the Ile Idibo area. To their dismay, they found her room locked from the outside, leading them to believe that no one was inside.
Alarmed by the situation, Desola’s neighbors conducted a further investigation and were met with a foul smell emanating from her room.
They later peeped through the window and found her lifeless bearing visible wounds and her eyes gouged out.
The neighbors immediately raised the alarm, drawing the attention of those nearby to the tragic discovery. The school authorities have since confirmed the heartbreaking incident. The police of Eruwa command have been intimated and have evaluated the body and commenced investigations.
This shocking turn of events has left the campus community in deep mourning and disbelief. The loss of a promising young student in a dehumanising state has sent shockwaves throughout the institution.
Meanwhile, the authorities and members of the academic community are coming to terms with the tragedy and offering their condolences to the bereaved family.
