Gov. Bago inaugurates key officials, pledges commitment to Niger State’s devt
Niger State Governor, Rt. Hon. Mohammed Umaru Bago, has sworn in key officials including the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Head of Service (HoS), Chief of Staff (CoS), Deputy Chief of Staff, and Deputy Chief of Staff to the Deputy Governor.
This decision was announced in a press release by Bologi Ibrahim, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Niger State.
The Governor presided over the ceremony at the Government House in Minna, while Justice Hafsat Bawa Wuse, representing Chief Judge Justice Halima Ibrahim Abdulmalik, administered the oath of office and allegiance to the government officials.
Governor Umaru Bago explained that these appointees, his first set, were chosen based on their competence and track records.
He emphasized the need for individuals with wisdom, courage, and strength to help build the envisioned future of Niger State.
During the ceremony, the Governor congratulated the appointees and acknowledged the challenges of working with him.
He expressed confidence in their abilities, stating, “I know working with Bago is difficult as I am a workaholic, but I trust that you will rise to the occasion and not disappoint me.”
Furthermore, Governor Umaru Bago revealed that his next five appointments will be females, in line with his campaign promises.
He also assured communities affected by banditry attacks that their suffering will soon be a thing of the past.
The Governor expressed gratitude to his party supporters for their patience and perseverance, while urging them to continue providing their unwavering support.
Speaking on behalf of the others, the SSG, Alhaji Abubakar Usman Gawu, pledged their unalloyed loyalty and commitment to supporting the present administration in achieving its objectives.
He expressed appreciation to the Governor for deeming them worthy of their appointments.
The officials sworn in are as follows: Alhaji Abubakar Usman as the SSG, Engr. Abubakar Yahaya Salisu as the Head of Service, and Hon. Usman Abdullahi Gbatamangi as the Chief of Staff to the Governor.
Additionally, Alhaji Sadiq Yusuf was appointed as the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor, and Alhaji Bello Ibrahim Gwada assumed the position of Deputy Chief of Staff to the Deputy Governor.
