Lagos govt hosts President Tinubu in state banquet 

The Lagos State Government on Thursday hosted President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in a banquet in honour of the President who was a former governor of the state.

Neptune Prime reports that the state government took advantage of the president’s visit who came to spend the Salah holiday in the state.

The Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu said hosting the president in the state was an honour and delight to welcome him back to the state since his inauguration exactly one month ago.

In attendance were the former governors of the state, Babatunde Raji Fashola and Akinwunmi Ambode.

Also in attendance were members of the Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF), leadership of the National Assembly, government functionaries, and members of the All Progressive Congress (APC).

Sanwo-Olu in a statement said the banquet marks one month anniversary of Tinubu as president of the country.

He said his tenure began with a promise of change and assured that the president and his team will transform the country.

He said, “Today is an auspicious day as it marks the one month anniversary of our President’s tenure; a tenure that began with a promise of change and one that is already delivering on that promise.

“In one month, His Excellency has assembled a team of exceptional individuals who share his vision, and are working tirelessly to transform Nigeria into a prosperous and an inclusive nation.

“In President Tinubu, we see a leader committed to the development of Nigeria, its people and its future. And once again, we welcome him back to his home state and wish everyone a joyful and peaceful Eid celebration.”
