But Kwankwaso while responding to threat in an interview on BBC Hausa on Saturday said Ganduje was in a confused state when he made threat.

“I heard that he (Ganduje) said he would have slapped me, but I’m here. He was just confused. These are all my boys politically,” Kwankwaso said.

“They can’t even look at me straight in the face if we meet. He was in a confused state when he said that. These my political boys, if they see me they lower their gaze.”

The former governor of the state who had talks with president Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the alleged illegal land deals contracted by the Ganduje administration in Kano, adding that Tinubu was so “surprised with the revelations.”

He said Ganduje had among others, allocated lands at the Kano Race Course to his friends and family members, a development that now made it difficult for people who wanted to indulge in sporting activities to find a place.

According to him, even the Eid praying ground where Muslims converge to pray during Sallah was not spared by Ganduje.

Kwankwaso disclosed that there are possibilities the Tinubu administration may engage some of them from the opposition in his government.
