Gov. Bago ensures completion of Minna-Tegina, Tegina-Kontagora road projects
Niger State Governor, Rt. Hon. Mohammed Umaru Bago, has affirmed his commitment to completing the reconstruction of the Minna-Tegina and Tegina-Kontagora roads, which were awarded by the federal government.
In a press release by Bologi Ibrahim, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Governor Umaru Bago expressed his determination to ensure the timely completion of these projects.
The Governor made this statement during a Sallah homage paid to the Emir of Kontagora, Muhammad Barau Mu’azu II, at his Palace in Kontagora.
He emphasized that the contracts for the road reconstructions were awarded at different times during the administration of Muhammadu Buhari and assured the public that his government would keep a close watch to ensure their successful execution.
The primary objective of these projects is to enhance the efficient movement of goods and services in the region.
Governor Umaru Bago called upon the people of the Emirate to unite and support his administration in achieving its goals for the collective benefit of all.
The Sarkin Sudan of Kontagora, Muhammad Barau Mu’azu, expressed his gratitude to the Governor for his visit and demonstrated commitment to collaborating with traditional rulers to provide good governance.
In recognition of the Governor’s dedication, the monarch bestowed upon him the traditional title of Gamjin Kontagora.
Subsequently, Governor Umaru Bago visited the cemetery of the late Emirs of Kontagora Kingdom, where he offered prayers for the repose of their souls.
