Man kills brother over 13-year-old girlfriend

A man has been killed by his brother in Cameroon over a fight that started because of a 13-year-old girl.
The incident happened last weekend in Mbagassina Subdivision in Mbam and Kim Division of the Center Region of Cameroon.
According to local media, the two brothers got into a bloody fight over the girl, who one of the brothers claimed was his girlfriend.

The deceased brother had been suspecting his brother of having a relationship with the girl due to their closeness.
Witnesses reported that before the fight started, one of the brothers had searched for the girl to no avail, only to find her with the other brother.
This led to an argument, and the brother with the machete attacked his sibling, who then used a knife to stab him in the chest. The deceased brother died on the spot.
Both brothers were severely injured, but only one of them died as a result of the fight.
The news of the fight only circulated days after the incident because of a lack of connectivity in the area. The girl at the center of the fight has not been identified.
The police have not yet commented on the matter, but an investigation is expected to take place.
