44 suspects caught in Adamawa warehouse heist

In a recent incident in Adamawa, 44 suspects have been apprehended by the vigilant police for their involvement in stealing food and non-food items from government warehouses.

SP Suleiman Nguroje, the command’s Public Relations Officer, confirmed this significant development to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday in Yola.

According to NAN, the incident unfolded in the state capital around 11 a.m on Sunday when miscreants ruthlessly vandalized the storage facilities, proceeding to pilfer various essential items such as maize, rice, beans, corn, generators, wrappers, mattresses, and plastic buckets.

In response to the unfortunate event, the state government promptly declared a curfew, and security personnel were promptly deployed to safeguard both public and private infrastructure, as well as marketplaces.

The security operatives are diligently working to recover the stolen items and bring the culprits to justice.

The Adamawa Police Command earnestly appealled to the public to remain law-abiding, assuring them that justice will prevail and stolen goods will be reclaimed.
