It is Governor Buni’s concern for the affairs of the state and uninterrupted service delivery to the people that seven Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) were appointed following the dissolution of the State Executive Council (EXCO).

This is to ensure critical services like Health, Education, Security, Humanitarian, Legal and Wealth Creation are adequately provided.

A critical look at this Ministries revealed that wheel of governance is moving progressively despite the absence of an executive council. The absence of cabinet is not in anyway affecting governance in the state.

In Health, Education, Wealth Creation, Humanitarian and other critical sectors, the government works to deliver essential services to the people even without commissioners and without an executive council duly constituted.

This shows that Gov. Buni has taken governance issues very seriously in a developing state like Yobe still coming out of the ashes of the Boko Haram carnage.

In addition to the SSAs, the Permanent Secretaries are fully in charge as the chief accounting officers of their individual ministries and they are working tirelessly with Gov. Buni, in conjunction with the Deputy Gov., the Ag. Secretary to the State Government, the Ag. Chief of Staff as well as the Head of Service, to achieve the administration’s vision of a greater Yobe State anchored on continuity, consolidation and Innovation.
