Infrastructure: Gov Buni meets with SGF for FG’s intervention in Yobe

Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 paid a visit to the Secretary to the Federal Government (SGF), Senator George Akume to discuss areas of cooperation and intervention for the state by the Federal Government.
This was disclosed in a statement by the media aide to the Governor, Mamman Mohammed the state capital.
Neptune Prime reports that Governor Buni highlighted the deplorable conditions of some of the facilities in the state belonging to the federal projects and urged for quick intervention.

It could be recalled that some federal roads were washed away by floods due to the heavy rains last year.
Other projects include the Damaturu regional water supply, Fika water project, electricity and others.
To this, the SGF, Akume, assured Governor Buni that the federal government will look into these projects to improve the lives of the people.
He also assured the commitment of the Tinubu administration of working on the same page for the benefit of the people of the state.
Similarly, Governor Buni met with private investors with proposal to establish agro-allied industries in the state.
The Governor disclosed that the state would establish industrial village to be provided with facilities to woo investors to the state.
