NDE disburses N1.9 million to 19 unemployed youths in Adamawa

The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has disbursed N1.9 million naira to 19 unemployed youths in Adamawa to be self-reliance.
Speaking during the official disbursement in Yola, NDE’s Director-General, Malam Abubakar Fikp, chargede the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the money.
The DG, who was represented by Malam Ibrahim Jimada, NDE Adamawa coordinator said the 19 beneficiaries were among 170 recruited and trained in 2022 under Sustainable Agriculture Development Training Scheme (SADTS).
He added that beneficiaries were trained on Goat Production Training Scheme of Its Rural Employment Promotion Department (REP).
Fikpo said this is an effort of Federal Government to promote self-employment initiatives, attitudinal change and counselling to achieve its vision of jobs for all.
In his remarks, Mr Edem Duke, Director REP represented by Mr Eke Nkem, REP officer, Abuja said the beneficiaries are to be empowered with N100,000 each and 228 beneficiaries across 12 state have been selected to benefit from N22, 800,000.
“The aim of today’s event is to sensitise you the beneficiaries on the effective utilisation of the loans which will be disbursed to you through your banks.
“I wish to congratulate the beneficiaries and strongly advise that you use the loan for the purpose for which it is obtained and pay back as at when due to enable other people to benefit” he said.
Mr David Sani who spoke on behalf of the beneficiaries appreciated the Federal Government for the gesture and assured to use the loan judiciously toward achieving the objective of the scheme.
