Oshoala reveals her father’s reaction after taking shirt off to celebrate goal
Super Falcons striker, Asisat Oshoala’s 72nd minute goal against hosts, Australia sealed the victory for her team in the game which 3-2 on Thursday in the ongoing FIFA Women’s World Cup.
The Barcelona star was ecstatic as she took off her shirt after skillfully tapping in the ball at a very tight angle despite presence of the opponent’s defenders.

Oshoala from a Muslim family perhaps didn’t care her religious beliefs but she admitted that her father wasn’t happy with her after taking off her shirt.
“My dad is definitely not happy with my choice of celebration but then again, Life is a collection of MOMENTS,” she said.
That singular act sparked diverse reactions from her fans on social media but she was not condemned for doing so.
In the comment section of her post, many celebrities begged her father to forgive her.
Lola Omotayo, wife of singer Peter Okoye of PSquare, wrote: “We will beg daddy on your behalf. We are so proud of you.”
Musician Darey Art Alade wrote, “Congrats we go beg daddy las las.”
Peter Okoye wrote, “Daddy no vex abeg.”
Nicknamed Agba Baller, Oshoala started the game on the bench but was introduced in the second half at 1-1, ultimately changing the direction of the game.
It was not long after she was introduced that the Falcons earned a corner kick which resulted in a goal scored by Osinachi Ohale.
For her own goal, Oshoala dragged the goalkeeper and a defender expertly to her right before slotting the ball to the far corner.
The striker sprinted towards the corner flag and took off her shirt in wild celebration. Oshoala, however, went into the referee’s book for her action.
