Outrage as suspected ESN/IPOB men attack Enugu primary school, assaulting pupils, teachers

A distressing video has recently surfaced online, depicting a group of gunmen suspected to be members of the Eastern Security Network (ESN)/ the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) brutally assaulting primary school pupils and their teachers in Enugu State.

The pupils, who had gathered to take their Common Entrance Examination, were terrified and traumatized as they pleaded with the assailants.

The incident reportedly took place in a primary school within Enugu West senatorial district, as stated by one of the voices heard in the video.

The outlawed group engaged the pupils, questioning them about their decision to attend school on a day designated for a sit-at-home protest.

“Why did you people come out today, knowing it is a sit-at-home day?” one of the gunmen inquired, while the pupils wailed in fear.

“I want everybody to obey the rules of Biafra. If they flog you today, you will understand that you should never violate the rules of the Biafra government again. Whenever there is a sit-at-home, tell them you won’t go to school. This is why we need to give you a small punishment.”

In response, one of the pupils, amidst tears, expressed their pledge not to venture outside on such occasions. “We will not come out again,” the child declared.
