Delta Police arrest NDLEA operatives over death of 2-year-old child
The police in Delta State have made an arrest in connection with the tragic death of a two-year-old boy named Ivan Omorhiakogbe.
The boy was fatally struck by a stray bullet during a raid conducted by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in the Okpanam area of the state.

The incident, which occurred on July 13, 2023, also left the boy’s brother injured. The Delta State Police Command confirmed the arrest of the suspected killer during a press briefing on Tuesday.
The suspect is currently in police custody and will face legal charges following the conclusion of the investigation.

“We assure the public that justice will be served,” stated DSP Bright Edafe, the command’s spokesman, during the press briefing.
